The space

Portuguese Soul Alfama comprises four apartments in the same building (I, II, III and IV), rented out individually (with a capacity of 10, 5, 2 and 2 people respectively) or together (19 people). In total it has 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, an interior charming patio and two terraces with the most superb view over the Tagus River and Alfama.

A defining characteristic of this building is the luminosity within. Thanks to the large windows and iron balconies, light shines into the interior from every angle at any time of the day.This magnificent property has a modern open interior staircase which brings a touch of modernity to the place. Stairs are large but not steep, however, it is not suitable for people with mobility restrictions or young children.

A stay here is like traveling back in time. At Portuguese Soul Alfama, you will be immersed in an awe-inspiring environment with its golden paintings and walls, intricately decorated ceilings, vintage furniture, traditional Portuguese tiles, and a multitude of striking crystal chandeliers.

Bedding and towels are provided, as well as shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion. There is also Wi-fi, cable TVs, air conditioning, dishwashers, washers and dryers, coffee machines, toasters and hair dryers.

Guest access

The guests have access to the all building, which is entirely reserved for them.

Other things to note

Cars are not allowed on this narrow street as our apartment is located in a historic area. However, the nearest point where a taxi or Uber can drop you off (in front of the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away.

For parking, you can park next to the Fado Museum (free at night), which is a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, you can use the parking at Campo das Cebolas, about a 10-minute walk away.
In our opinion, a car won’t be necessary, as many points of interest are within walking distance.

The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience.
