The space

This magnificent property is divided into 4 floors with a modern open interior staircase:

– Ground floor: apartment with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and shower.
– First floor: two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds) and bathroom with shower.
– Second floor: two bedrooms (one with double and two single beds) and bathroom and shower.
– Third floor: bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower and a fully-equipped and brand-new kitchen with dining area.
– Fourth floor: living room with a sofa, armchairs and a large terrace with the most superb view over the Tagus River and Alfama.
A defining characteristic of this building is the luminosity within. Thanks to the large windows and iron balconies, light shines into the interior from every angle at any time of the day.

Stairs are large but not steep, however it is not suitable for people with mobility restrictions or young children.

A stay here is like traveling back in time. At Portuguese Soul Alfama, you will be immersed in an awe-inspiring environment with its golden paintings and walls, intricately decorated ceilings, vintage furniture, traditional Portuguese tiles, and a multitude of striking crystal chandeliers.

Bedding and towels are provided, as well as shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion. There is also Wi-fi, cable TV, air conditioning, dishwasher, washer and dryer, a coffee machine, a toaster and a hair dryer.

Portuguese Soul Alfama is comprised of four apartments (I, II, III and IV) that are rented out individually (with a capacity of 10, 5, 2 and 2 people respectively) or together (19 people). Guest access

The guests have access to the all building, which is entirely reserved for them.

Other things to note

Cars are not allowed on this narrow street as our apartment is located in a historic area. However, the nearest point where a taxi or Uber can drop you off (in front of the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away.

For parking, you can park next to the Fado Museum (free at night), which is a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, you can use the parking at Campo das Cebolas, about a 10-minute walk away.
In our opinion, a car won’t be necessary, as many points of interest are within walking distance.

The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience.
