The space

This magnificent apartment has a romantic bedroom with a double bed, separated from the living room by a golden “gaiola pombalina”: an iconic wooden structure used in Lisbon’s buildings after its earthquake. It also has a bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy interior patio.

A stay here is like traveling back in time. At Portuguese Soul Alfama, you will be immersed in an awe-inspiring environment with its ornate golden decor, intricately decorated ceilings, vintage furniture, and striking crystal chandeliers.

Bedding and towels are provided, as well as shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion. There is also Wi-fi, cable TV, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, a coffee machine, a toaster and a hair dryer.

Other things to note

Cars are not allowed on this narrow street as our apartment is located in a historic area. However, the nearest point where a taxi or Uber can drop you off (in front of the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away.

For parking, you can park next to the Fado Museum (free at night), which is a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Alternatively, you can use the parking at Campo das Cebolas, about a 10-minute walk away.
In our opinion, a car won’t be necessary, as many points of interest are within walking distance.

The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience.
